๐ Role Summary

Support the development and execution of the UNDP Sierra Leone Communications strategy and Annual Communications Plan.

Create compelling content for various communication channels, including stories, op-eds, press releases, and social media posts.

Synthesize information from program teams to inform communication materials and strategies.

Assist in preparing presentations, decks, pitches, toolkits, and process documents for internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain communication dashboards and manage meeting calendars for the Communications Unit.

Contribute to the curation and coordination of events, campaigns, and workshops to enhance UNDP's visibility and build stakeholder relationships.

Develop communication materials for events and support awareness campaigns through targeted channels.
๐ Enhancement Note: This role is an internship position within the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), focusing on communications and graphic design support. The emphasis is on supporting existing strategies and content creation rather than independent strategy development, suitable for early-career professionals or students.
๐ Primary Responsibilities

Communications Strategy Support: Assist in the implementation of UNDP Sierra Leoneโs Communications strategy, Annual Communications Plan, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This involves understanding strategic objectives and translating them into actionable content and support tasks.

Content Development: Draft and refine content for various communication outputs, including human-interest stories, opinion pieces (op-eds), talking points for spokespersons, press releases, and social media posts, ensuring alignment with UNDP's brand voice and messaging.

Information Synthesis: Work with different UNDP program teams to gather, understand, and synthesize complex development information into accessible and engaging communication materials.

Presentation and Documentation: Prepare visually appealing and informative presentations, decks, pitches, toolkits, and process documents to support various communication initiatives and project requirements.

Dashboard and Calendar Management: Assist in maintaining communication dashboards to track key metrics and progress, and manage the Communications Unit's meeting calendars and schedules.

Event and Campaign Support: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, campaigns, and workshops, ensuring effective communication and promotion of UNDP'
Application Requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate or undergraduate program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Candidates should possess strong English communication skills, familiarity with digital communication tools, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
