๐ Primary Responsibilities

Design and meticulously plan comprehensive user research studies, employing a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to uncover deep user insights.

Synthesize complex research findings into actionable recommendations, ensuring they are clearly communicated and directly relevant to inform product and service design decisions.

Develop and refine leading-edge service designs for consumer, industrial, and automotive domains, applying a rigorous user-centered process within cross-functional project teams.

Actively contribute to the Bosch international UX community, driving the adoption and application of advanced UX research best practices across Bosch North America.

Advocate for and educate internal teams on inclusive design principles, accessibility considerations, and effective cross-cultural research and communication strategies.

Conduct and facilitate design thinking and UX ideation workshops for various business divisions, fostering innovation and collaborative problem-solving.

Provide UX and design instruction and coaching through structured courses, engaging workshops, and individual consultations, acting as a key mentor.

๐ Skills & Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI) in combination with user-centered methods, sociology, anthropology, psychology, or a related social science field.

Masterโs Degree or PhD in a relevant design or social science discipline is preferred, demonstrating advanced academic grounding in user-centered methods. Experience:

7+ years of professional work experience in user-centered design and/or user research.

Demonstrated experience in planning and executing a user-centered design process, including ethnographic interviewing, concept testing, customer journey mapping, service blueprinting, developing interaction guidelines, and usability evaluation. Required Skills:

Expertise in a wide array of qualitative research methods, including participatory research design, in-depth interviews, diary studies, contextual inquiry, and concept testing.

Proficiency in conducting basic quantitative surveys and analyzing results to complement qualitative findings.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under time constraints.

Proven experience in applying design thinking principles and facilitating workshops and design sprints.

Strong ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers.
