๐Ÿš€ Role Summary

  • Drive significant improvements in website engagement, clarity, trust, and checkout completion rates through expert UX/UI design and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies.

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for CanadianSIM's Shopify ecommerce platform, focusing on optimizing the customer journey from landing page through to post-purchase activation.

  • Leverage data analytics, user behavior analysis, and experimentation frameworks to identify friction points and implement data-driven design solutions.

  • Develop foundational UX designs for a future mobile application, contributing to enhanced customer activation, account management, and self-serve support experiences.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure scalable and effective implementation of UX/UI designs within the Shopify environment.

๐Ÿ“ Enhancement Note: This role is a hybrid of traditional UX/UI design and a strong CRO focus, requiring a candidate who can not only design but also measure, analyze, and iterate on user experiences to achieve tangible business outcomes like increased conversion rates and customer activation.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of the customer journey, specifically examining the flow from initial landing pages, through plan selection, checkout, and into post-purchase onboarding and activation processes.

  • Utilize a suite of analytics and session replay tools, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar, and Shopifyโ€™s native analytics, to identify user behavior patterns, friction points, and areas of trust erosion.

  • Translate complex user insights and data analysis into actionable design recommendations and clearly defined test hypotheses for A/B testing and other experimentation methods.

  • Design and iterate on key user interfaces and flows within the Shopify ecommerce platform using Figma, focusing on improving information architecture and simplifying product decision-making processes.

  • Optimize critical page experiences, including the homepage, plan/product detail pages, the entire checkout path, and content related to "how it works" for eSIM activation.

  • Partner effectively with development teams to implement scalable, Shopify-compliant UX/UI components and ensure designs are technically feasible and maintainable.

  • Lead the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) roadmap, including prioritization of initiatives, management of the testing cadence, and meticulous tracking and reporting of experiment results.

  • Plan and execute various A/B tests, Call-to-Action (CTA) tests, landing page optimizations, and checkout flow improvements to systematically enhance conversion performance.

  • Present experiment results and design recommendations to stakeholders, clearly articulating the expected impact, key learnings, and proposed next steps.

  • Enhance trust and clarity within the eSIM category by improving the usability of plan differentiation and comparison, ensuring transparency in pricing and terms, and incorporating credibility signals and reassurance content.

  • Develop user-friendly guidance for eSIM activation processes to boost overall user confidence throughout the purchase journey.

  • Contribute to the early UX groundwork for a forthcoming mobile application, focusing on user flows for activation, onboarding, account management, troubleshooting, self-serve support, renewals, and add-ons.

๐Ÿ“ Enhancement Note: The responsibilities highlight a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and a direct link between design efforts and measurable business outcomes (conversion rate, activation). The inclusion of future mobile app work indicates a strategic growth path for the role.
