🚀 Role Summary

  • Drive end-to-end design ownership for complex digital product engagements, from initial discovery through to final handoff and post-launch iteration.

  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems, including tokens, components, documentation, and governance, ensuring consistency across diverse products and teams.

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 junior and mid-level designers, fostering their growth through constructive feedback, design reviews, and unblocking challenges.

📈 Primary Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Design Ownership: Manage the complete design lifecycle for concurrent projects, encompassing user research, ideation, wireframing, user flow definition, high-fidelity screen design, and detailed specifications for development.

  • Design System Development & Governance: Architect, build, document, and maintain robust design systems and component libraries, ensuring adherence to established standards and facilitating efficient product development.

  • Design Strategy & Problem Solving: Translate ambiguous business objectives and user needs into clear design strategies, actionable flows, and intuitive user interfaces, particularly for complex or novel product challenges.

  • Mentorship & Team Enablement: Provide direct guidance, constructive feedback, and skill development support to junior and mid-level designers through regular design reviews, critiques, and knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead design discussions with clients and senior stakeholders, effectively presenting work, gathering feedback, managing scope, and advocating for user-centered solutions.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure design feasibility, optimize development sequencing, and facilitate smooth project handoffs.

  • Craft & Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of visual craft, interaction design, and usability, ensuring designs address the full state space (edge cases, errors, empty states, loading) and are responsive across platforms.

  • Process Documentation & Standards: Define and document team-wide design standards, file conventions, and handoff expectations to promote consistency and efficiency across the design team.
