📈 Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Real Estate team and external architectural/consulting partners to produce construction documents for new, existing, and franchised bakery developments.

  • Ensures all construction documents align with the company's design objectives, architectural guidelines, and quality standards, effectively communicating and executing the brand's image.

  • Provides creative direction to architects for custom or unique site conditions, developing innovative design solutions for space planning, construction details, material selection, and branded storefronts.

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in architectural, engineering, and interior design, supporting technical needs and requirements for the overall development program to ensure best-in-class design.

  • Communicates design solutions using company-specified presentation formats and industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Bluebeam.

  • Reports on project progress, utilizing analytics, lessons learned, and best practices from previous projects to inform and enhance Design Standards.

  • Oversees the design process to ensure designs meet company, jurisdictional, and landlord design criteria, and that construction documents comply with internal quality standards, building codes, and health and safety regulations.

  • Communicates efficiently with the broader project team regarding progress, issues, and resolutions.

  • Tracks architectural design changes and modifications, assessing their impact on the bakery development budget.

  • At least 3 years of experience managing and working with construction plans and specifications for multi-unit tenant finish-out projects.

  • At least 3 years of experience managing and working with architectural/site plan design, quality control, and material/equipment installation.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
