Software Engineer UI

<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><i><b>Role Overview:</b></i></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer UI with 5–7 years of professional experience in building modern, scalable web applications using React.js and Node.js. This role requires strong hands on expertise with AI development tools, AI Agents, MCP (Model Context Protocol), LLMs, and developer productivity accelerators such as GitHub Copilot. <br><br>The ideal candidate is passionate about creating high quality UI solutions, optimizing user experiences, and leveraging next generation AI technologies to accelerate development and deliver intelligent, adaptive interfaces. <br><br>This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.<p></p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop responsive, accessible, and performant UI features using React.js, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries (MUI, Tailwind, Chakra, etc.). </p></li><li><p>Build reusable UI components, optimize rendering performance, and maintain coding best practices. </p></li><li><p>Collaborate with designers to transform Figma/UI specs into high-quality, production-ready interfaces. </p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express/Nest.js, or similar frameworks. </p></li><li><p>Implement REST/GraphQL APIs, middleware, caching, authentication, and data integrations. </p></li><li><p>Work with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) for API-driven UI workflows. </p></li><li><p>Utilize AI tools, AI Agents, and LLMs to automate UI development, improve workflows, and enhance end-user experience. </p></li><li><p>Apply MCP (Model Context Protocol) to integrate context-aware AI capabilities into development and product features. </p></li><li><p>Implement AI-driven UI enhancements such as smart suggestions, adaptive interfaces, or semantic search. </p></li><li><p>Use GitHub Copilot and similar AI coding tools to improve development velocity and code quality. </p></li><li><p>Contribute to AI-assisted code reviews, documentation, and automation scripts. </p></li><li><p>Conduct performance tuning, component-level optimization, code splitting, and lazy loading. </p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and best UI/UX practices. </p></li><li><p>Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and solution design. </p></li><li><p>Work within Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to estimations, sprint planning, and technical grooming. </p></li><li><p>Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend teams, and QA for end‑to‑end delivery. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About You</b></p><ul><li><p>5–7 years of hands-on experience in full-stack or UI-focused development. </p></li><li><p>Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks. </p></li><li><p>Solid experience with Node.js, Express/NestJS, and API development. </p></li><li><p>Practical hands-on experience with: </p><ul><li><p>AI Tools (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI tooling, AI-assisted coding, AI testing tools) </p></li><li><p>LLMs (prompting, function calling, model integration) </p></li><li><p>AI Agents (autonomous workflows, agent frameworks) </p></li><li><p>MCP (Model Context Protocol) for integrating AI context and tools </p></li><li><p>GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants </p></li></ul></li><li><p>Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API), and component-driven development. </p></li><li><p>Experience with build systems and packaging tools (Vite, Webpack, Esbuild). </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). </p></li><li><p>Knowledge of browser performance debugging, Web Vitals optimization, and best security practices. </p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. </p></li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-Hybrid</p><h2><br /><br /><b><i><span>Company Overview</span></i></b></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>McAfee is a leader in personal security for consumers.
