Additionally, the role will participate in broader teams to enhance 3D modeling and assembly experiences through the use of AI and automation.<br><br>This position is based in <b>Toronto, Ontario, Canada,</b> and offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-powered software and product design that impacts users worldwide.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Please include your resume, cover letter, and your portfolio (plus password if protected) when applying.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to shape and collaborate on our core Fusion Assemblies efforts.</li><li>Develop UI and interaction design prototypes to enhance exploration and internal alignment on design directions. Show adaptability across desktop software, tablet apps, smartphone applications, and browser-based apps.</li><li>Assist in developing and refining assembly interactions that consistently scale across diverse assembly types, from general mechanical designs to specific ones like complete consumer products, printed circuit boards, and factory workspaces.</li><li>Conduct user testing for design refinement and iteration. Collaborate with the user research team to ensure timely, actionable feedback.</li><li>Prototype and test AI-driven interactions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user trust.</li><li>Participate in innovation sprints and activities to disrupt 3D modeling and assembly experiences with generative artificial intelligence and other forms of automation.</li><li>Operate in a dynamic, iterative setting, aligning customer needs, business demands, and the latest technology developments, including AI, with a focus on user-centered design principles.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in UX design within software, AI, or manufacturing environments.</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Figma, and experience using Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Strong analytical thinking and skilled in user-centered design.</li><li>Effective communication and presentation skills in English.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams across time zones.</li><li>Experience with Autodesk products, CAD/CAM technologies (AutoCAD, Fusion, Mastercam, SOLIDWORKS, On Shape, Blender, Creo), or designed solutions for complex, multi-faceted experiences like data visualization, 3D modeling, and/or simulation.</li><li>Solid communication and storytelling with an ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing, and effectively applying learnings and insights to improve designs<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's or equivalent work experience in user interface (UI) and interaction design for software and/or SaaS solutions in related fields like architecture, industrial design, or mechanical engineering.</li><li>Familiarity with AI-driven design principles, conversational UX, or AI-powered user assistance.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>The Ideal Candidate</b></p><ul><li>Has experience applying UX in real-world projects and can demonstrate the impact of their role in team efforts.</li><li>Passionate about emerging technology and how physical products are created, with a desire to shape the future of digital product design and development tools.</li><li>Excited to grow their career in UX, learning from cross-functional teams and applying new skills.</li><li>Curious and proactive—asks great questions to understand users, business needs, and technical constraints.</li><li>Thinks systematically, connecting workflows across multiple tools and platforms.</li><li>Enjoys problem-solving, reframing challenges, and exploring creative solutions.</li><li>Communicates clearly, influences decisions, and collaborates across disciplines.</li><li>Values career growth and seeks opportunities to expand their impact in technology and manufacturing.</li><li>Thrives in agile teams, balancing speed with thoughtful, user-centered design.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span class="emphasis-2"><b><b>Learn More</b></b></span></p><p></p><p><b><span>About Autodesk</span></b></p><p><span>Welcome to Autodesk!
