Within GCS, the Commercial Product Design team is seeking a Senior Associate - Product Designer to play a critical role crafting the future of these digital experiences for our customers. <o:p></o:p>How will you make an impact in this role?<o:p></o:p>You will combine expertise in your craft with a data-informed knowledge of customers to create impactful experiences that deliver on our business goals. We also need strategic thinkers to connect the dots across experiences and leverage knowledge of market and industry trends to inform their decision making. <o:p></o:p>Key Responsibilities:<o:p></o:p><ul><li>Ensure visually appealing and usable user interfaces by delivering artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specifications<o:p></o:p></li><li>Develop understanding and empathy for users through user-centered methodologies, external analysis, research, and data<o:p></o:p></li><li>Present design decisions to peers and partners with minimal support from senior colleagues Utilize understanding of American Express design process, design systems and UX patterns<o:p></o:p></li><li>Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and design leads to understand and deliver against project requirements<o:p></o:p></li><li>Participate in design community<o:p></o:p></li><li>Leverage design tools to efficiently deliver artifact<o:p></o:p></li><li>Utilize data-analytics tools to make informed decisions <o:p></o:p></li></ul><o:p></o:p>Minimum Qualifications:<o:p></o:p><ul><li>2+ years of professional product design experience<o:p></o:p></li><li>Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research and processes<o:p></o:p></li><li>Ability to share solutions to problem-solving initiatives in an engaging way<o:p></o:p></li><li>Proactive and energetic communicator, with excellent attention to detail<o:p></o:p></li><li>Proficiency in Figma or similar design software (i.e. Sketch) <o:p></o:p></li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)<o:p></o:p></li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<o:p></o:p><ul><li>Experience using collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Airtable, Mural, and FigJam <o:p></o:p></li></ul> Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
