<p><u><b>Job Description:</b></u></p><p>General Purpose: First Brands Group is seeking a Graphic Designer responsible for translating creative packaging designs into technically precise, press-ready files. This role requires deep knowledge of prepress standards, color accuracy, and print production for various packaging materials. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with packaging designers, marketing, and the creative team to prepare artwork for print, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high quality. Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Translate creative master artworks into technically precise, press-ready files across packaging formats • Build and prepare mechanical artwork to diverse print processes including digital, offset and flexographic • Apply dielines, bleeds, trapping, overprinting, and safety margins according to production specifications • Conduct rigorous preflight and quality control checks to identify and correct errors prior to file hand-off • Deliver final artwork to business partners or suppliers via FTP, ensuring all naming conventions and backup procedures are strictly followed for proper archiving. • Ensure files are optimized for the intended print method and fully compliant with brand and regulatory guidelines Knowledge, Experience, Competencies • Accountability and a solution-oriented mindset, especially when working on tight production timelines. • Outstanding listening skills with a view to understanding internal and external stakeholders • Flexibility in an environment of constant change • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills • Hands-on experience with a broad range of packaging formats and print processes • Ability to identify layout or design issues and collaborate effectively with design and creative teams. Education, Skills Requirements • Education –Bachelor´s degree in Graphic Design, associates or Bachelors degree preferred • Minimum 5years of experience in business • Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. • Deep understanding of prepress standards and requirements, including color separations (CMYK and spot), press setup, and substrate consideration • Advanced knowledge of color accuracy principles and the ability to interpret spectrophotometer measurements • Skilled in applying regulatory and brand standards during the artwork creation process. • Extensive experience using prepress tools such as ColorTone, PrintIQ, and Esko software (Desk pack and Power trapper)</p><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>First <span>Brands Group is a proud equal opportunity employer.
